Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Yul Edochie, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prioritize tackling Nigeria’s economic and security challenges instead of engaging in early political discourse ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Edochie made the appeal in a post on his Instagram page, where he expressed concern over the soaring cost of living and escalating insecurity across the country.
Addressing Tinubu directly, the actor—known for his public support of the president—wrote: “Please don’t let politicians distract you with 2027. We’re still in 2025. High cost of living and high rate of insecurity are still ravaging Nigerians. These two remain the most pressing issues to deal with.”
He concluded the message by praying for divine guidance for the president.
