Senator, Magnus Abe has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not need to campaign in Ogoni land, noting that the people are already firmly aligned with his administration.
Speaking during a special visit by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State, Abe said the Ogoni people only needed the opportunity to appreciate the President for what he has done for them.
According to Abe, the Ogoni people have chosen Wike and President Tinubu as their political allies in national politics and are content with that decision. He stressed that Ogoni people are not ungrateful and would not abandon those they have chosen to support.
He urged Wike to convey the message to President Tinubu that a visit to Ogoni should be for thanksgiving rather than campaigning, assuring that the people would stand firmly with the President.
Abe reaffirmed the loyalty of the Ogoni people, stating that they would not seek any other political direction beyond the one already chosen, adding that their support for President Tinubu remains unwavering.
