Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has urged higher institutions in the country to dismiss lecturers who do not have the needed qualifications so as to improve on the quality of graduates.
Wike made this known during the 32nd Convocation of the Rivers State University yesterday, December 15, 2020.
He stated that the 2021 budget of the state government has made funds available for the take-of of academic activities in the three new campuses of the school in Emouha, Ahaoda and Etche local government areas of the state.
The governor equally noted that his administration is committed to making the institution one of the best in the country.
He furthermore urged higher institutions in the country to design its curriculum so as to accommodate skill acquisition in order to create jobs for its graduates.
