A midnight fire has destroyed properties valued at millions of naira at No. 57 Azikiwe Street, Mile 2, Diobu, Port Harcourt.
The blaze, which began around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, also spread to a nearby warehouse at No. 55 Azikiwe Street used for selling and storing assorted drinks.
The cause of the fire had yet to be determined as of press time. Eyewitnesses said three fire service trucks were deployed to the scene, with two exhausting their water supply while the third continued battling the flames. The fire was still raging as of 5:50 a.m.
