Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Frank Mba, has voluntarily stepped down from the Nigeria Police Force after serving the country for 34 years.
Mba, who served as the DIG in charge of Training and Development at the Force Headquarters, retired alongside several other senior officers following the recent exit of former Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the appointment of Olatunji Rilwan Disu as the new head of the police force.
The retired DIG began his policing career in May 1992 when he enlisted as a cadet officer. During his training at the Nigeria Police Academy, he stood out academically and graduated as the best cadet in his class.
In his farewell remarks, Mba expressed appreciation to Bola Ahmed Tinubu for allowing him to serve the nation under his administration. He said he was grateful for the trust placed in the leadership of the police and the support provided to the institution during that period, describing his contributions to national security and stability as a great honour.
MBA also extended his appreciation to Nigerians for the encouragement and support he received throughout his years in the police service.
