Property owners affected by ongoing construction in Rivers state, have accused the State Government of shortchanging them in the payment of their properties.
The property owners in a chat with journalists few days ago, threatened to carryout a protest over the issue.
They accused the government of paying them peanuts for their Properties.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Government has denied shortchanging property owners affected by the ongoing construction.
State commissioner of Works, Alabo George Kelly in a statement Today, urged the property owners to shelve the planned strike and show understanding.
The state Governor had in a statement said over four billion naira has been spent for compensation.
