DAAR Communications, owners of AIT/Raypower says it has instituted a legal action against the Rivers State Government over plans to demolish its building.
The Company’s Head of Centre, Remi Olu Akerele disclosed this in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
She said notice of the demolition was pasted on the company’s wall without any further information.
She appealed to the state government not to go ahead with he demolition, noting that 80 percent of the company’s workforce from Ozuoba would be greatly affected.
“I just want to appeal to the Governor to have a rethink if not for owners of Daar Communications,PLC, but for over 80 percent workforce that are sourced from the locality of Ozuoba, host community. We have been in good relationship with them. We have been doing everything humanly possible for the community as company,” he said.
