With only hours to go before the official close of the 22nd National Sports Festival, tagged Gateway Games 2025, Delta State has maintained its dominance at the top of the medals table.
Delta has amassed a total of 226 medals — 92 gold, 59 silver, and 75 bronze — to retain the lead. Bayelsa State trails in second place with 192 medals, including 83 gold, 53 silver, and 56 bronze.
Host state Ogun occupies third position with 149 medals (53 gold, 44 silver, and 52 bronze), while Rivers State currently sits in fourth place as the competition nears its final day.
The festival is set to officially conclude with a closing ceremony expected to be declared by President Bola Tinubu, following a slight adjustment to the event’s timetable.
