All is now set for the commencement of an Ultramodern Degema Council Secretariat, at the Council’s administrative headquarters in Degema Consulate.
This development was made known, Tuesday, as the Sheriff and Projects Rabbi of Degema Local Government Area, Hon. Michael John Williams, DSSRS, inspected the ongoing demolition of ramshackled structures at the Council Secretariat, for the commencement of ultramodern structures.
The intended structures, which comprises the Admin Block, Finance Block and others, when completed, will not only address the dearth of conducive office spaces for the efficient discharge of public services, but will equally change the aesthetics and physical landscape of the ancient LGA.
It will be recalled that the Council Chairman, upon assumption of office in 2021, made a commitment to salvage and restore the LGA from the doldrums, bequeathing a modern, functional and progressive local government that meets the yearnings and aspirations of its people.
