The Family Court in Rivers State has sentenced one Pastor, Piller Erekwa of Glorious Covenant Church to 7 years in prison for defiling and impregnating a 15-year-old girl in Ndele community, Emohua local government area of the state.
The presiding magistrate, Ogeh Elkenah gave the ruling Today.
He also ruled that the cleric will pay the sum of N500,000 to family of the victim for medical bill accrued during the pregnancy upon completion of the jail term.
The cleric had earlier pleaded guilty to defiling and impregnating the teenager.
