The Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA) has confirmed a rising death toll following a devastating tanker explosion at Dikko Junction.
In a statement released by Director General of NSEMA, Abdullahi Arah, the agency reported that as of 12:00 pm on January 20, 2025, the number of fatalities had climbed to 98.
The explosion, which occurred on Saturday, also left 69 people injured. Many of the victims are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals, according to the statement.
