The Police in Rivers State, has confirmed that the lifeless body of a man identified as Mr. Justice was found dangling on a tree at Eagle Island in Port Harcourt, over the weekend.
The man, until his death was a member of the Tipper Drivers Association of Nigeria, Eagle Island Branch.
Spokesperson for the command, Grace Koko in a statement yesterday, said investigation is on to unravel the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.
“We are aware of the incident and we have started investigation to ascertain what led to it. That is all I can say for now,” she said.
Meanwhile, the South-South Chairman of the Tipper Drivers Association of Nigeria, Prince Barifodum, also confirmed the incident.
He called on the police to carry out a thorough investigation into the case, to ascertain what happened.
According to him, “When there is suicide, there are things that are peculiar to such acts, so we are still requesting that the police do an investigation into what really happened.”
