There is no EZEBUNWO ICHEMATI without you, this political elevation you graciously accorded me as CARETAKER CHAIRMAN OF PORT HARCOURT CITY, is as a result of your insistence to reward hardwork that was taking for granted and wickedly ignored over the last 8years.
Not just me but a lot of other Rivers youths who wouldn’t have come out of political obscurity if not for your desire to break us free from the old order that derived joy in subjecting youths to demeaning frivolities and just social media aides.
We are a generation of courageous warriors standing on your shoulders.
The daily battles won, the thousands territory we’ve gained as a result of your mentorship, the many sacrifices you made for us, to ensure that we come out from the dark into political limelight.
The things you refuse to compromise along the way to ensure that the youths become the leaders of today, has laid the Simple blueprint and foundation for our rising. We say thank you.
So now we pledge and pray, that just as you’ve watered others, you too shall be watered.
Just as you’ve given to others, you too shall be given.
Just as you’ve honoured others, you too shall be honoured.
Just as you’ve lifted others, you too shall be lifted beyond your present office to higher ones.
It is an honour to be given the opportunity to serve, one that i won’t take for granted.
We’ll continue to learn from you, on how to be unprovoked in the face of mindless provocations, how to be silent in the face of noise and how to be respectful in the face of disrespect.
