DCLM Daily Manna 2025: DCLM Daily Manna 28 November 2025: Praise and Worship
Text: Ephesians 1:11–15 (KJV)
KEY VERSE: Ephesians 1:11–12
“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.”
Serious-minded and purpose-driven people do not make choices casually or carelessly. They invest time, effort, and deep consideration before arriving at decisions that align with their values, goals, and long-term aspirations. Once a choice is made, they commit fully to it because it has been weighed and found worthy.
Apostle Paul, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, continues his expression of praise to God as he reflects on the astonishing grace that redeemed us and made us God’s chosen people.
He makes it clear that God’s choice of us was not impulsive or accidental. It was deliberate, purposeful, and made long before we ever existed. God’s decision was anchored in His eternal plan: that we should live to the praise of His glory.
As we rejoice in the privilege of being chosen by God, we must not lose sight of why we were chosen.
Grace does not leave us unchanged—it transforms. It lifts us from the shame and filth of sin into the realm of glory. Our lives should now shine as evidence of God’s transforming power.
If someone claims to be among God’s chosen but continues to live in shameful, sinful behaviour, such a claim becomes questionable. From the day we are saved until the day we meet the Lord, our lives should reflect His glory.
Those who knew us before our conversion should see undeniable change, and those who meet us anew should notice we are different because Christ lives in us.
This is the purpose of our election: to radiate God’s glory. We must therefore seek His grace to live out this calling daily.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If Christ lives in you, you cannot but radiate His glory.
