DCLM Daily Manna 2025: DCLM Daily Manna 15 November 2025: Sighting What Others Don’t See
Text: Acts 7:54–60 (KJV)
When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,
58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.
59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
KEY VERSE: Acts 7:55 “But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.”
Two men stood behind the bars of a prison. Both held the cold iron rods, but their perspectives differed significantly. One looked out with despair, troubled by fear, regret, and a hopeless future. The other, however, looked out and saw beyond the prison walls — he saw freedom, joy, and the possibility of a new beginning. The difference wasn’t their situation, but their vision.
Stephen, the first Christian martyr, experienced something similar. As stones were being raised to kill him, he lifted his eyes not to the angry crowd but to heaven, where God opened his eyes to see His glory and Jesus standing at His right hand.
This heavenly revelation filled Stephen with courage, compassion, and peace even in the face of death. Rather than curse his executioners, he prayed for them and surrendered his spirit into the hands of the Lord.
True believers have this same spiritual advantage. While the world sees only despair, danger, and hopelessness, God helps His children see victory, glory, and eternal joy. Because we are joined to Christ — the One who conquered death — we can face life’s storms without fear. Believers can rejoice even in trials because Jesus is in the vessel with us.Open Heavens Daily Devotional: A Daily Guide to Close Fellowship with God
In these fearful and anxious last days, Christians must display unwavering faith. People around us should see what we see: that Christ makes all the difference.
With Him, there is hope now and eternal bliss later.
Without Him, there is misery now and eternal separation afterward.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Hasten to embrace the victory in Christ before crisis consumes you.
