Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside, the 2015 governorship candidate under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has Today declared that his party was the victim of violence during the 2015 elections in Rivers State.
Dr. Peterside made this statement during a conversation in the White House Family room on Clubhouse.
In response to questions regarding the role of his party in electoral violence during the 2015 elections in Rivers State, Dr. Peterside said that “all the aggression in 2015 were towards the APC”. The former governorship candidate cited instances of violence in Okrika, Onelga, and Bakana and said that in all these cases thugs, miscreants, and criminals opened fire on members of the APC leading to loss of lives.

Recall that a Rivers State Commission of Inquiry had stated that there was a monthly average of 19 killings in the state during the 2015 election cycle.
