Former caretaker chairman of Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, Sunny Bekanwah has been remanded to the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre by a Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt for allegedly sponsoring cultism.
The magistrate, N.O. Anugbum also remanded one Barikui Henry for the alleged killing of Lucky Keena and Dumsira Deeyah in Kpean Community.
The court ruled that they be remanded for public safety. The case was adjourned to December 5 for hearing.
Bekanwah is a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Khana LGA.
