The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a cult leader identified as Bright James popularly known as Borokiri in a community in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state by Police officers.
Spokesperson of the state Police Command, DSP, Grace Koko confirmed the incident to journalists in Port Harcourt on Friday.
Sources say Borokiri was killed by the Police during a gun battle with members of his gang when they confronted him for allegedly keeping their armoury to himself.
The incident led to the death of two persons before Borokiri was gunned down by the Police after a swift reaction.
They said the incident caused panic in the area as residents scampered for safety.
