The Security Chairman of Ebubu community in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, and three other persons have been reportedly killed after two rival cult groups clashed in the area on Tuesday.
According to eyewitnesses, three of the four deceased cultists had stormed Nchia, killing a member of a rival group, before they were also killed by colleagues of the deceased in Eleme.
They alleged that the security chairman was among the three persons that shot dead the young man at Nchia.
Some of them accused him of being behind the killings in the area, as he was forced on the community as Security Chairman by higher authorities.
They also alleged that he has been on the wanted list of the Police for various crimes in the area.
Meanwhile stakeholders have called on the Police to provide security in the area, to forestall outbreak of such attacks.
