Rivers State recorded 10 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 4,392 with, 3,619 discharged and 73 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 1,444 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – Lagos-901, Plateau-136, Kaduna-57, FCT-54, Ebonyi-53, Akwa Ibom-52, Nasarawa-32, Osun-29, Ogun-28, Imo-16, Oyo-16, Edo-15, Kano-14, Rivers-10, Ekiti-7, Borno-6, Abia-5, Benue-4, Yobe-4, Kebbi-3 and Anambra-2
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 110,387 with 89,317 recovered patients, and 1,435 deaths.
The NCDC, has warned that not every #COVID19 infected individual shows symptoms.
Everyone needs to maintain a HIGHER index of suspicion for COVID19 and adhere to all preventive measures, the commission said.
