The Rivers State Covid-19 Immunization officer, Iwom Joseph has confirmed the arrival of the covid booster doses.

Mr Joseph, who disclosed this in a statement in Port Harcourt, said the vaccines arrived the state, yesterday.

He said one hundred and forty eight thousand doses of the Pfizer vaccines and fifty thousand doses of the Modena vaccines were given to the state.

He disclosed that the doses are safe and have no side effects, as he called on those fully vaccinated to make themselves available for the jab so as to combat the fourth wave of the pandemic.

He also advised residents to ignore rumor making the rounds that the vaccines are not safe for humans.
