The Rivers State Government says it has tested over 107,000 thousand persons for the dreaded COVID-19 virus.
The State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Princewill Chike who disclosed this in a statement, yesterday, said the virus is not a scam.
He stated that each test costs between fifthy thousand naira to sixty thousand naira, as he commended the state Governor for his commitment in tackling the pandemic.
He noted that the Governor’s move to rehabilitate some hospitals in the State, is a step in the right direction.
The commissioner urged residents of the state to obey all COVID-19 protocols so as to limit the spread of the deadly virus.
