Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed has said that consistent testing and the carelessness of some Nigerians are responsible for increased Covid-19 cases in the country.
The minister, who disclosed this in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday, said Nigerians no longer observe precautionary measures.
He explained that those disobeying COVID-19 protocols should be blamed for the spike in cases in NYSC camps across the nation.
“Two things are responsible for the high cases of pandemic reported at the National Youth Service Corps camps. One is because of consistent testing that has been taking place in NYSC camps,” he said.
“The second reason for the high cases is that Nigerians have actually let down their guards,” the Minister said,” Lai added.
