The 36 states of the Federation will receive N1 Billion each from the Federal Government to curb the rising COVID-19 cases in their respective states.
Joseph Ngbea, Benue State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, made this known in a statement on Wednesday.
He said the money is also meant to prevent the third wave of the delta variant.
Ngbea, noted that the Federal Government promised to release the fund before the end of July.
He also explained that the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 and the Federal Ministry of Health officials would meet with state Commissioners of Health next week.
