The Rivers State Government has urged residents of the state to take advantage of the vaccination exercise and get vaccinated.
The State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Princewill Chike who disclosed this in a statement, said the Covid-19 vaccination exercise is still ongoing in the state.
He said the vaccine is safe as it has been clinically proven to protect people from the dreaded virus.
He called on residents not to be scared of taking it. “Be a good citizen, protect yourself to protect others,” he said.
Prof. Princewill also advised residents to continue to obey all COVID-19 protocols despite taking the jab.
He noted that no one is expected to pay before they get vaccinated at government designated hospitals.
