The Rivers State Immunization Officer, Joseph Urang has denied media reports that Adhoc staff administering covid-19 vaccines are being owed by the state government.
Urang in a statement in Port Harcourt, Today, said it is not the state government that is owing the officers.
He stated that it is a national problem caused by the National Primary Healthcare Department Authority.
He said efforts are underway to resolve the issue.
“It is not the Rivers State Government that is owing the Adhoc staff administering COVID 19. It is a national problem caused by the FG owned National Primary Healthcare Department Authority,” he said.
Some workers administering COVID 19 vaccines in the state had alleged that they are being owed by the state government for two months.
