Rivers State recorded 157 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday, after recording the highest number of cases on Tuesday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 8,981 with 7,850 discharged and 106 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Wednesday.
In total Nigeria recorded 1149 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 680, Rivers-157, Akwa Ibom-94, Oyo-56, Edo-36, FCT-34, Ogun-31, Ekiti-20, Delta-16, Abia-5, Nasarawa-5, Osun-5, Cross River-4, Plateau-3, Sokoto-2 and Kano-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 184,593 with 167,738 recovered patients, and 2,236 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has urged Nigerians to continue to obey all Covid-19 protocols.
