Rivers State recorded 188 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 9,702 with 8310 discharged and 119 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Tuesday.
In total Nigeria recorded 655 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 288, Rivers-188, Oyo-64, Akwa Ibom-31, FCT-28, Ekiti-21, Edo-17, Bayelsa-11 and Kaduna-7.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 188,243 with 169,035 recovered patients, and 2,281 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency says obeying all covid-19 protocols is key to reducing the spread of the deadly virus.
