Rivers State recorded 6 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 16,576 with 16,362 discharged and 154 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, made this known on its Twitter handle yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 31 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with -17, Rivers -6, FCT -5, Kano -2 and Delta -1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 254,637 with 249,160 discharged and 3,142 deaths.
Meanwhile, the commission says getting the jab and obeying all covid protocols remain the most effective ways of curbing the spread of the virus.
