Rivers State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases yesterday, with 154. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 9,222 with 7,997 discharged and 109 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Friday.
In total Nigeria recorded 304 new cases. Ekiti recorded the second highest number of cases with – 33, Edo-20, FCT-18, Oyo-17, Cross River-15, Delta-15, Akwa Ibom-13, Ogun-11, Bayelsa-4, Sokoto-2, Gombe-1 and Nasarawa-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 185,71 with 168,124 recovered patients, and 2,247 deaths.
The agency has continued to appeal to Nigerians to obey all Covid-19 protocols.
