Rivers State has recorded 9 new cases of the COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2048 with 1,879 discharged and 57 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
A total of 340 new cases were witnessed in Nigeria. Kaduna recorded the highest number of cases with – 63; FCT-51; Plateau-38; Lagos-33; Delta-25; Gombe-21; Adamawa-21; Edo-20; Katsina-17; Akwa Ibom-11; Ekiti-10; Ondo-5; Ebonyi-4; Cross River-3; Ogun-3; Sokoto-2; Imo-2; and Nasarawa-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 51,304 with 37,885 discharged and 996 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
