Rivers State recorded 83 new cases of Covid-19, yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 10,981 with 10,058 discharged and 137 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Wednesday.
In total Nigeria recorded 559 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with -232, Rivers-83, Enugu-66, Oyo-28, Kaduna-25, FCT-24, Delta-22, Akwa Ibom-19, Kwara-18, Ekiti-13, Bayelsa-9, Cross River-9, Ogun-6, Kano-3 and Gombe-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 197,046 with 185,379 recovered patients, and 2,578 deaths.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization has said that the country’s response to the pandemic is one of the best globally.
