Rivers State recorded 72 new cases of Covid-19, yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 10,663 with 9,288 discharged and 134 deaths
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Thursday.
In total Nigeria recorded 631 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with -172, Oyo-93, Rivers-72, Edo-63, Kastina-29, Abia-26, FCT-23, Kano-23, Bayelsa-20, Ogun-20, Ekiti-18, Anambra-16, Delta-16, Osun-14, Imo-11, Benue-6, Enugu-4, Jigawa-2, Niger-2 and Nasarawa-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 193,644 with 179,294 recovered patients, and 2,488 deaths.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization, has rated the country’s response to the pandemic as one of the best globally.
