Rivers State recorded sixty-five new cases of the COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2,582 with 2,378 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
A total of 120 new cases of the case was observed in Nigeria. Rivers State recorded the highest number of cases with – (65), FCT (12), Ogun (9), Katsina (8), Anambra (7), Bauchi (5), Oyo (5), Nasarawa (3), Kaduna (2), Kwara (1), Taraba (1), Imo (1), and Delta (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 59,465 with 50,951 and 1,113 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
