Rivers State recorded 6 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2963 with 2,803 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 168 new cases of the virus. FCT recorded the highest number of cases with – (61), Lagos (50), Kaduna (27), Oyo (12), Rivers (6), Katsina (5), Ogun (3),Kwara (2), Edo (1), and Kano (1)
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 66,607 with 62,311 and 1,169 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
