Rivers state recorded 5 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 12,792 with 12,615 discharged and 154 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Tuesday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 144 new cases. Imo recorded the highest number of cases with -38 Plateau-20, Lagos-17,FCT-16, Kwara-15, Zamfara-15, Ondo-7, Rivers-5, Taraba-4, Oyo-3, Bauchi-2, Edo-1 and Ekiti-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 213,321 with 206,206 discharged and 2,973 deaths.
The NCDC has said obeying all covid-19, protocols is key to curbing the spread of the deadly virus.
