Rivers State has recorded 20 new cases of the COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2027 with 1,868 discharged and 57 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Across the country new cases of COVID-19 were recorded. Plateau State had the highest number of cases with – (186), Lagos (172), FCT (62), Oyo (27), Delta (25), Ondo (19), Edo (18), Kaduna (17), Enugu (12), Akwa Ibom (10), Ogun (7), Abia (6), Gombe (6), Kano (3), and Osun (3).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 50,488 with 37,304 discharged and 985 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
