Rivers State has recorded 15 new cases of the COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2063 with 1,897 discharged and 57 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Nigeria recorded 321 new cases of the virus. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 98; FCT-34; Kaduna-30; Nasarawa-25; Benue-21; Plateau-17; Adamawa-11; Ogun-11; Enugu-9; Edo-8; Delta-7; Ekiti-7; Gombe-5; Ebonyi-4; Bayelsa-3; Kano-3; Ondo-3; Cross River-2; Imo-2; Kebbi-2; Niger-2; Abia-1; and Bauchi-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 52,548 with 39,257 discharged and 1004 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
