Rivers State has recorded 12 new case of the COVID-19.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Nigeria also recorded 325 new cases of the virus. Lagos, recorded the highest number of cases with – 87; FCT-49; Gombe – 28; Ebonyi – 21; Plateau – 19; Kwara – 18; Enugu – 17; Imo -12; Rivers – 12; Kaduna – 11; Ogun – 10; Edo – 9; Oyo – 9; Ondo – 8; Osun – 8; Ekiti – 4; Borno – 1; Kano – 1; Bauchi – 1; and Nasarawa – 1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 48,770 with 36, 290 discharged and 974 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to help curb the further spread of the virus, which currently has no cure.
