Rivers State has recorded 12 new cases of the COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2039 with 1,877 discharged and 57 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Caes were also recorded across the country. Lagos had the highest number of cases with – 235), FCT (44), Kaduna (41), Borno (33), Plateau (28), Abia (13), Edo (13), Imo (11), Oyo (10), Kano (9), Kwara (7), Enugu (5), Katsina (5), Gombe (4), Ogun (4), Nasarawa (1), and Zamfara (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 50,964 with 37,569 discharged and 992 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
