Rivers State recorded ten new cases of the COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2,287 with 2,189 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Nigeria also recorded 125 new cases of the virus. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – (37), Plateau (18), FCT (17), Ogun (15), Rivers (10), Benue (7), Kaduna (7), Anambra (5), Oyo (3), Cross River (2), Ondo (2), Edo (1), and Imo (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 57,849 with 49,098 and 1,102 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
