Rivers State has recorded 1 new case of the COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2006 with 1,810 discharged and 56 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Nigeria also recorded 298 new cases of the virus. Plateau, recorded the highest number of cases with – 108; Kaduna-49; Lagos-47; Ogun-18; Osun-17; FCT-15; Ondo-14; Edo-8; Oyo-6; Akwa Ibom-4; Cross River-4; Borno-3; Ekiti-2; Bauchi-1; Kano-1; and Rivers-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 49,068 confirmed, 36,497 discharged and 975 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to help curb the further spread of the virus, which currently has no cure.
