Rivers State recorded 1 new case of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2957 with 2,797 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 56 new cases of the virus. Kaduna State recorded the highest number of cases with -(18), FCT (17), Lagos (6), Plateau (5), Kano (3), Kwara (2), Yobe (2), Ekiti (1), Niger (1), and Rivers (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 66,439 with 62,241 and 1,168 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
