Rivers State has recorded no new case of the COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 2,128 with 1,942 discharged and 57 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Nigeria recorded 160 new cases of the virus. Plateau recorded the highest number of cases with – 44; Lagos-27; Katsina-18; Edo-15; FCT-14; Ondo-10; Oyo-9; Kwara-6; Abia-4; Nasarawa-4; Kano-3; Ekiti-2; Kaduna-2; Kebbi-1; Ogun-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 53,477 with 41,017 discharged and 1,011 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
