Rivers State recorded no new case of COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 2963 with 2,803 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 198 new cases of the virus. FCT recorded the highest number of cases with -(53), Lagos (48), Ogun (40), Akwa Ibom (20), Bauchi (9), Plateau (8), Kaduna (5), Kano (4), Benue (3), Jigawa (3), Nasarawa(3), Edo (1), and Kwara (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 66,805 with 62,439 and 1,169 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
