Rivers State recorded no new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 2942 with 2,784 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 143 new cases of the virus. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with – (70), Kaduna (25), FCT (22), Ogun (11), Plateau (4), Oyo (4), Ekiti (3), Osun (2), Edo (1), and Kano (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 65,982 with 61,782 and 1,165 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
