Rivers State recorded no new case of COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 2,831 with 2,678 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 72 new cases of the virus. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with – (51), FCT (6), Ogun (4), Kaduna(3), Niger (2), Ondo (2), Plateau(2), Katsina(1), and Oyo(1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 63036 with 59,328 and 1,147 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
