Rivers State recorded no new case of COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 2,689 with 2,576 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 212 new cases of the virus. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with – (85), Oyo (72), FCT (21), Ogun (11), Plateau (11), Katsina (6), Kaduna (5), and Osun (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 61,194 with 52,304 and 1,119 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
