Rivers State recorded no new case of the COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 2,208 with 2,120 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Nigeria also recorded 126 new cases of the virus. FCT recorded the highest number of cases with – (37), Lagos (27), Plateau (16), Kaduna (9), Abia (7), Gombe (6), Ondo (6), Imo (5), Delta (2), Ekiti (2), Kwara (2), Oyo (2), Bauchi (1), Kano (1), Katsina (1), Ogun (1), Yobe (1)
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 56,604 with 47,872 and 1,091 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
