Rivers State recorded no new case of the COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 2,208 with 2,118 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Although there were no recorded cases of Covid-19 in Rivers, other states witnessed cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – (33), Plateau (27), Kaduna (17), Ogun (6), FCT (4), Anambra (1), Ekiti (1), Nasarawa (1)
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 56,478 with 44,430 and 1,088 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
